Description
Built for gardeners in real winter climates who want a bold hardneck and a mild softneck that both hold up to the cold. This pack pairs Georgian Fire (hardneck) with Lorz Italian (softneck), two of our most cold-hardy varieties.
Georgian Fire is a Porcelain hardneck with strong cold hardiness down to zone 3, one of the most reliable producers in cold, wet climates, delivering intense, lingering heat. Lorz Italian is an heirloom softneck that handles cool zones 5 to 7 well, with a mild, slightly sweet flavor and excellent braiding tops for long-term kitchen storage.
Together they cover both garlic types with one bold and one mild, built for northern gardens. Each pack includes approximately 8 to 14 seed cloves per variety. New to growing garlic? See our complete growing guide for step-by-step planting instructions.
When Your Order Arrives
Remove the garlic from the shipping box as soon as it arrives. Store in a dry, open-air location with good airflow. Do not leave it sealed in the box.
If you are in a warm-winter region (zones 8 and warmer), refrigerate your seed garlic for 6 to 8 weeks at 35 to 40 degrees F before planting. See our vernalization guide for full instructions.
