Seed Garlic Still Available for 2026 Planting

, by Earthwise Garlic, 2 min reading time

Several seed garlic sources are selling out for 2026. Earthwise Garlic still has Music, Donostia Red, Inchelium Red, and Georgian Fire in stock. Ukrainian Red and Lorz Italian almost gone.

Several seed garlic operations have run through their stock already for the season. If your usual source is sold out, Earthwise Garlic still has seed garlic available and shipping now.

Here is what we have and what is running low.

Available Now — Shipping Immediately

Music (Porcelain hardneck) — In stock. Music took first place hardneck in our 2026 harvest. It is in its fifth season on our farm and improves every year as it adapts to our Willamette Valley soil. Large bulbs, easy-peeling cloves, rich savory flavor. The most forgiving hardneck you can plant.

Donostia Red (Creole hardneck) — In stock. One of the rarest garlic varieties available in North America. Major seed operations limit how much any one customer can order. Multiple sources sell out of it every season. We grew it for the first time in 2026 and it took hardneck grand champion on our farm. Planted from tiny cloves, the bulbs we harvested had doubled in size compared to what we procured the prior fall. Long storage (9 to 10 months), stunning magenta cloves, bold heat that mellows beautifully when cooked.

Inchelium Red (Artichoke softneck) — In stock. Our 2026 softneck champion. Inchelium is reliably the best-performing softneck on our farm, including a 2025 experiment where small cloves produced bulbs as large as our premium seed row. Mild, sweet flavor, stores 6 to 9 months, flexible tops ideal for braiding.

Georgian Fire (Porcelain hardneck) — In stock in limited quantity. One of the hottest garlic varieties available. High allicin content, large cloves, clean bold heat. Cold hardy in zones 3 to 8. Some sources are not carrying it this season.

Almost Gone

Ukrainian Red (Rocambole hardneck) — Almost sold out. Classic Rocambole with easy-peel cloves and rich complex flavor. If you have grown it before and want it again this season, order now.

Lorz Italian (Artichoke softneck) — Almost sold out. Pacific Northwest heirloom, mild and slightly sweet, excellent for braiding. Very little remaining.

Samplers Still Available

If you want to try more than one variety, samplers are a good way to compare side by side in the same season. The Hardneck and Softneck Starter includes Music and Inchelium Red. The Bold Flavors Duo includes Music and Donostia Red. The Southern Growers Duo pairs Donostia Red with Inchelium Red for growers in mild-winter climates.
